Class 3 have enjoyed finding out about the Oseberg boat this afternoon as part of our Vikings topic. Here we are enjoying some cross curricular maths using our measuring skills to work out how big it was! 😃

To complete the colour-wheel topic, featuring hot and cold colours, the Class 2 children were completing artwork today in the style of Russian artist ‘Kandinsky’, making ‘concentric’ circles using oil pastels.

As part of their ‘Healthy Eating‘ topic, the Class 2 children are exploring the shape, texture and colour of vegetables by using them for printmaking in Art-time today. There are some amazing creations and the children have really enjoyed the ‘messy’ experience!

Class 1 children are creating ‘modern art’ today in creative time! They are using the stimulus of artists such as Mondrian and Matisse to make colourful shells for their snails, inspired by the ‘Snail Trail’ book!

Class 1 children were having a lot of fun this afternoon making a very colourful rainbow, as part of the ‘Friendship Ambassador’ whole-school friendship project. They are going to add ‘hands’ that include names of people who could help them if they were anxious or worried.
